Introduction

The Licel Waverider computes multiple power spectra from an fast ADC signal and averages them. From the peak of individual power spectra one can compute the wind velocity.

New 250MHz 14 bit Acquisition system

We started to ship in May 2024 the new 250 MHz Waverider systems, which have a better ADC and are a most cost effective solution than the precessor. It can be ordered with up to 4 trigger inputs for Coherent DIAL measurements.

3.2 Ghz - 12bit Combined Mie Rayleigh Windprofiles

We build the first system for a Wind-Lidar at 532nm with a significant fast ADC to record both the aerosol and the molecular spectra.

First results have been published during the ELC 2023.

Waverider Windows Installer (11 MB)

The Licel Windows applications are installed by running a Windows Installer package (Licel Waverider Acquisition) for easy installation. They require Windows 7, 8 or 10. The LabVIEW Runtime Engine 2018 SP1 (32 bit) is needed. The LabVIEW Runtime Engine should have been installed before running the Waverider Windows Installer. The LabVIEW Runtime Engine 2018 SP1 can be downloaded at https://www.ni.com/en-us/support/downloads/software-products/download.labview.html#354269. If the Licel Waverider Acquisition Software 1.0.0 or higher has already been installed earlier from a Licel CD-ROM the LabVIEW Runtime Engine has been installed, as well. Download this package if you don't want to modify the Licel software or don't have LabVIEW 2018 or higher. Unzip the downloaded file and run setup.exe to install the software. Change List.
